While others are used as expression and vent on a personal level.

Till death do us part...an in death you are mine

K and Pseudo-mate are characters created from a jaded mindset, of love and the desperation to keep the comforts of the semi- norm. Even if it's self-destructive. They say love can overcome any obstacle, even horrible traits of a lover can turn tides once there is a trickle of such false romanticism present. Senseless promises that were never shown but verbally uttered. But a promise is a comfort to a fool, and a fool love makes very easily and quite often.

When one is rose-tinted, it is hard to actually see your "lover" for what they truly are. It is easier to idealize them and be blinded to what they are actually capable of. In the end one can be harmful to the other. In other situations, both can prove to be highly toxic to each other. Love and hate runs a very fine line but both high emotions are all the same. The confusion of passion can be eerily lust-filled and tainted. Longevity due to time wasted on a situationship can be confused for a lasting relationship healthy one.

A relationship that should be let go... but it's never so black and white like in romance novels is it? An letting go can give the false impression of losing self. But in the end how far are you willing to lose your self for the false idealization of another? Is the "Love" worth it? Is healing not worth the solitude and loneliness? Are you willing to harm self for the idea of love? To many this is not a simple choice. An to K and Pseudo-mate these choices are very greyed with false ties into tainted idealism.
